Urban Resilience Researcher & Policy Analyst

Kudakwashe Intauno is an urban resilience researcher and policy analyst focused on developing innovative, scalable solutions to address climate risks, inequality, and service delivery challenges in rapidly urbanising regions. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Global South Urban Resilience Forum (GSURF) and a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, where his work informs evidence-based strategies for green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and resilient urban governance.

Kudakwashe works at the intersection of urban development, technology, and society, advancing context-sensitive solutions tailored to the realities of cities across the Global South. He has contributed to international urban planning and resilience initiatives, including research with the Commonwealth Association of Planners, Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Initiative and the University of Technology Sydney, supporting the development of tools for climate-resilient and inclusive urban planning.

Drawing on academic and professional experience across Africa, Europe, and Australia, Kudakwashe is committed to translating research into practical policy solutions that strengthen local capacity and help build resilient, inclusive, and future-ready cities.
